Toucans first opened its doors in 1966, back when Mexico Beach was a quiet little secret, no traffic lights, no chain restaurants, just white sand and good people. For over 50 years, we were part of this community's story. Then Hurricane Michael rewrote it. On October 10, 2018, the Category 5 storm came ashore with 160 mph winds and a 14-foot wall of water and left almost nothing standing. We lost the building. We didn't lose the spirit. Mexico Beach rebuilt, and so did we. Our brand new beachfront home was built from scratch to be better than ever: stronger, more beautiful, and ready to make memories for the next 50 years.
